I've recently upgraded Java from 1.8 to 11.

/usr/lib/jvm/default-java/I am running a Maven project that was configured on 1.8.
I'm trying to build it with 11 and get the following errors:

Fatal error compiling: invalid target release: 11 -> [Help 1]I tried adding
<maven.compiler.release>11</maven.compiler.release>Which results in invalid flag: --release
